Ka Ora, Ka Ako Impact Evaluation
‘Impact Evaluation’ was a sub-project of the student health and wellbeing survey that looked specifically at Ka Ora Ka Ako schools and changes from 2020 to 2023. The goal was to understand the impact of the Ka Ora Ka Ako initiative on student health and wellbeing outcomes. To achieve this, data was collected through surveys and other methods to assess changes in areas such as mental health and physical health.
The ‘Impact Evaluation’ was an essential part of the overall Ka Ora Ka Ako initiative, which aimed to create a more supportive and healthier environment for students in New Zealand schools. The initiative had several components, including the implementation of healthy eating and physical activity programmes, the promotion of positive mental health and wellbeing, and the development of stronger connections between schools and their communities.
